configure my HP LaserJet printer to print using AutoCAD
14?
ANSWER: AutoCAD 14 can be
configured to select a specific paper size, shade, or pen
width when using either the HP-GL/2 driver or the System
Printer ADI 4.3 driver.
DETAILS: Refer to the following
information for assistance with configuring AutoCAD 14 to
select paper sizes, shades, or pen widths when using either
the HP-GL/2 printer driver or the System Printer ADI 4.3
driver.

The System Printer, when
configured for dithered output, provides higher quality
gray scales or shading than the HP-GL/2 driver, but at
reduced speeds. The HP-GL/2 driver provides higher speeds
with reduced grayscale quality.
Configuration of AutoCAD 14 Windows using
the HP-GL/2 Driver (back
to Table of Contents)
- At the AutoCAD command
prompt, type CONFIG.
- Select New.
- Select "Hewlett-Packard
HP-GL/2 devices, ADI 4.3 for AutoDesk by HP" and press
OK.

printer name stands for Non-Raster.
NOTE: LJ133EN.EXE can be
downloaded from Hewlett-Packard's web site and installed, if
the ability to print raster images or print on different
paper sizes (for example, Legal) is required.
- Select "HP LaserJet 4 -
NR" or Select HP LaserJet (11 x 17, A3) if the LJ133en.exe
has been downloaded; then continue until prompted for the
port.
- Select the appropriate
port. If you are already configured for the System Printer,
an AutoCAD information screen may appear informing you that
